The story about this painting.

Inspired by the Wilson Carbide Mill Ruins located in Gatineau Park, near Ottawa.  It’s a great outing in nature and a neat find.  Here, what is left of the buildings and bridge as well as the trees and bushes are enveloped in a thick, cozy blanket of snow.  The light is subdued, giving the scene that moody feeling. You feel enveloped and cocooned.
