The Chateau is an abstraction of our iconic heritage site, the Chateau Laurier on Rideau Street in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I've done several paintings of this beautiful building, however, this time I'm using an experimental technique where I paint watercolour entirely using a palette knife. The perspective was from Majors Hill Park.
