Original Watercolour from the City Series. Framed without glass in black solid wood.
Inspiration for this piece came from walks around Ottawa in the past year or so. Like many in 2020, staying home inspired me to try many different approaches to my sketching. Here I attempt to paint this monochrome image without using any black paint. Mixtures of yellow, blue and orange provide for additional hews that give warmth to the piece. The light captured, makes it up-lifting.
